Hi, I know that questions are supposed to be asked at the Yahoo group, but it seems rather confusing, and I don't exactly have a Yahoo account, so I'd like to place my question here instead, and hopefully you'll reply. =)
I'm a 18 year old with a didelphic uterus with double cervixes and vaginas as well.
Recently, due to sexual activity, I tore the septum separating my vagina's pretty deep in, but not all the way. I also ended up with a pretty bad bacterial infection that I'm treating at the moment, and the idiot who did this to me has run off and I'm pretty much at this on my own.
It's a full septum, usually, and after almost a month, it's managed to heal up and now it's closing back together, but I have a remaining inch of flesh sorta hanging around and hanging out... Sorry to be so graphic, but that's my trouble at the moment.
The thing is, I really want my septum back. I want the full thing, and I feel extremely sentimental about it as it's a part of who I am, and I've really embraced it.
My gynea said that it would ultimately be easier if I had it removed, but I completely disagree.
The way it is right now, I can't help but to feel ugly, and I can no longer be confident about having another sexual encounter or even thinking of being interested in anyone since I feel completely undesirable and disgusting.
Plus, on top of that I don't want to have it as a constant reminder of a bad incident that cased the tear in the first place.
I'm willing to have it surgically reconstructed, though I wonder if that's possible...
Everywhere I look, people seem to want their septum removed while I want it back together, so I was just wondering if it's actually possible.
Thank you so much. Please do reply, I'll be checking back often. It's so good to see a site where others share the condition that I have and have grown to love. I just want to have it back.
